Collect
Collect a random urine sample in a clean container with secure lide. Sample must be Refrigerated (2-8oC) Stability:during collection.
Storage/Transport Temperature
10 mL aliquot
Stability (from collection to initiation)
Ambient (room temperature) Stability: 24 hours
Refrigerated (2-8oC) Stability:(2-8oC) Stability: 4 days
Frozen (<-20oC) Stability: Indefinitely
Unacceptable Conditions
Urine collected in acid and samples at 20-25oC. Urine containing fecal matter.
