Serum or Plasma collected in Gold (SST), Red, or Green top tube.
PROTECT FROM LIGHT
Serum is preferred if available.
Preferred Volume: 1.0 mL, Minimum Volume Required 0.5 mL
Storage/Transport Temperature
Serum/Plasma at 2-8§ C or frozen if transport delayed more than 48 hours.
Stability (from collection to initiation)
Ambient (room temperature) Stability: 8 hours
Refrigerated (2-8oC) Stability:(2-8°C) Stability: 48 hours
Frozen (<-20°C) Stability: 3 months
Unacceptable Conditions
Hemolyzed samples. Samples stored at room temperature for 8 hours or more.
