Specimen must be drawn by appropriate lab staff at performing campus, immediately after transfusion reaction called.

Notify Blood Bank. Stop transfusion. Notify physician
DAT is not longer required to be performed on the pre-transfusion sample unless the post transfusion sample is positive.
