Remarks
The chance of interference is remote but can potentially alter results by 10%. If patient is on Biotin supplementation, be aware of any abnormal results and have patient discontinue supplementation prior to drawing laboratory testing.

Interpretive Data
An abnormal TSH result should be followed with a Free T4 test, this TSH is a third generation, high sensitivity test that may be abnormal earlier than changes in Free T4, especially in pre-clinical hyperthyroidism.
